Women’s Medical Center would like to announce some changes in our physician staff. Dr. Podolsky has been practicing halftime since August of 2020. His intent was to remain at WMC for a couple of years. However, circumstances have changed and he will retire from the practice August 1. Dr. Podolsky thanks all the patients who put their trust in him over the years and is very grateful for the opportunity to serve our community. He will be greatly missed.
WMC welcomed Dr. Jack Parks to our practice in August 2020. Dr. Parks served in Big Rapids as an OB/GYN for 12 years prior to joining Women’s Medical Center. He has been well received by our patients secondary to his excellent bedside manner and is a gifted surgeon. Dr. Parks’ personality complements our physician group well.
As of March, this year, Dr. Elliot has reduced his office hours to halftime but will continue to see patients in the hospital, deliver babies and perform gynecological surgeries. At this time, he has no plans to retire.
Dr. Brittany Van Houten will join our practice full-time this summer, concurrent with Dr Podolsky’s departure. Dr. Podolsky encourages his patients to transition to Drs. Parks and Van Houten.
Meanwhile, Drs. Swirtz, Sanders and O’Dell continue to practice full time at Women’s Medical Center. They welcome new patients and all plan to remain at service to the greater Central Michigan community for the years to come.
